2026 Ford Mustang FX Package: A Modern Tribute to the Fox Body Era

The Ford Mustang is an American icon and has had countless iconic body styles over the years. One of the most distinct is the Fox Body, which was produced between 1979 and 1993. This boxy silhouette defined an era, and now, it’s back and retooled for the 21st century.

The 2026 Fox Body appearance package includes Oxford White wheels reminiscent of the original Fox Body package, as well as grille “nostrils” and a white-outlined 5.0 badge on the front fenders. The rear “Mustang” decal echoes the design language of the 1980s‑era models.

The final exterior homage to the past includes an Adriatic Blue Metallic exterior color option, reminiscent of the teal shade you’d find on Fox Body models from the ‘90s.

Like the exterior, the inside is nostalgic yet fresh, with bold visuals and modern ergonomics.

The 2026 FX Package interior includes:

• Plaid cloth inserts with leather bolsters: The seats are covered in classic plaid upholstery, which you can upgrade to Recaro sport buckets. Seats also feature silver and blue stitching and unique badges with high-grade leather. 
• Custom contrast stitching and chrome accents: The seats, dashboard, and doors are trimmed with bright piping and chrome strips, boosting the vintage feel.
• Heritage details: Instruments feature old-school plaid background rings behind classic analog gauges, and sport pedals with retro-etched designs.
• Modern driver-centric Tech: A 13.2‑inch touchscreen and digital cluster bring together retro styling with today’s technology.

• The 5.0L Coyote V8 engine pushes out 480 horsepower, which is around 20 hp more than the standard GT. The upgraded intake and exhaust enhance the horsepower curve and throttle response.
• Adaptive MagneRide suspension with standard FX calibration delivers precise cornering and comfortable ride balance, ideal for both winding backroads and highways.
• It’s equipped with Brembo brakes and optional larger rotors. 4-piston front calipers come standard, with available rotors to improve stopping confidence.
• A slightly different axle setup makes for sharper acceleration and more potent power delivery on launch.
