TorqShift 10-Speed Automatic Transmission
The TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission is offered on all diesel engines. This transmission offers the same optimum towing power and performance as TorqShift-G but is built to withstand the higher torque of the Power Stroke Turbo Diesel engine. You get to choose from four selectable modes — Normal, Slippery, Tow/Haul, and Eco. The available Tremor® Off-Road Package has two additional modes: Rock Crawl and Trail Control.
Power Take-Off Provision
With an available power take-off (PTO) diesel torque of 300 lb-ft, and gas torque of 250 lb-ft, the Super Duty PTO provision offers more power for upfits just when you need it. For added strength, the 10-bolt PTO mounting pattern provides a more secure mount for larger PTO devices.
Diesel Engine Exhaust Braking
The 6.7L High Output Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel B20 engine utilizes diesel engine exhaust braking. This feature restricts the flow of exhaust gases from the engine to create back pressure, which helps to slow the truck down. It also improves driver control while traveling downhill and reduces overall brake wear.
