Time to introduce the 2021 Ford F-250, a super duty truck that actually lives up to the name. Ford has a long history of producing durable, workhorse trucks, and the F-250 lives up to its heritage. It's loaded with power, is built for tough work, and has all the latest performance features to make it the perfect truck for whatever job you might have. Here's a closer look at some of the best features on the 2021 Ford F-250.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Six trim levels on the F-250 give you plenty of options. The XL is the base model but there's nothing basic about its lightweight, high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body on a high-strength steel frame. The available STX Appearance package adds stylish chrome step bumpers, a chrome grille, and 17-inch polished aluminum wheels. The XLT trim adds the BoxLink cargo management system, quad-dual beam LED headlights and a power-locking tailgate. The Lariat trim ups the style with the Black Appearance package that includes 20-inch black-painted aluminum wheels and black-out touches all around. It also has the Lariat Ultimate package available upgrading the exterior with an LED lighting system and interior amenities.
Your King Ranch comes with signature badging, two-tone lower accent paint, and power-folding, power telescoping side view mirrors with memory. The Platinum trim adds quad-beam LED headlights, power-deployable side running boards, and Satin touches to the grille and badging. Ford's Limited trim has all the bells and whistles including LED fog lamps and a tailgate with an integrated step.
Engine (Power)
Three engine options give you powerful choices. Ford's 6.2-liter V-8 engine is paired with the TorqShift six-speed transmission. The result is 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Next up is the 7.3-liter port fuel injection V-8 engine with the TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain gets an exceptional 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Lastly, there's the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel engine that pumps out 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The F-250 features a best-in-class conventional tow rating of 20,000 pounds and a gooseneck tow rating of 22,800 pounds. Opt for the Tremor Off-Road package and get 35-inch maximum-traction tires and drive modes like Rock Crawl and Trail Control. You also get the Pro Trailer Backup Assist and BLIS with Trailer Coverage systems to help make trailering a breeze.
