Ford Escape vs. Nissan Rogue in Florence, SC
Why choose the Ford Escape?
The Ford Escape and the Nissan Rogue are both popular compact SUVs. Both have two rows of seats and room for five. Both come with premium options and the latest technology, but the Ford Escape outshines the Rogue with its more attractive exterior look and variety of powertrains to make it more appealing to a wide range of drivers. Let's compare the 2021 Ford Escape and the Nissan Roque.
The Powertrains
The base engine for the Escape is a 1.5-liter turbo three-cylinder with 181 horsepower. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder is an available option that generates 250 horsepower, and Ford also offers the Escape with a four-cylinder hybrid powertrain. All Rogue models come with the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine that develops 181 horsepower. It works with a CVT, and you can choose from front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
The Cabin Features
Ford gives all Escape trims except the base an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Navigation comes in the SE and above. All but the base also come with heated front seats, faux-leather comes in the midlevel trims, and the top-level Titanium gets genuine leather. The Rogue starts with an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth too. A 9-inch touch screen comes in the top-level Platinum, and it includes navigation. The Ford Escape offers drivers more engine options and a hybrid powertrain, while the Roque has just one engine for every trim. The car-like Escape is smooth and refined with lots of tech features and options.
